The Second Business Service Department of Nanjing Soil Instrument Factory, formerly known as Nanjing Soil Instrument Factory, was established in 1958 and is one of the earliest professional factories in China to produce and operate geotechnical instruments. At present, it is one of the largest geotechnical laboratory instrument manufacturing enterprises in China, and also produces highway instruments. We have provided hundreds of thousands of advanced and high-quality instruments for industrial and civil engineering survey, water conservancy, road and bridge engineering, railway engineering, national defense infrastructure, and related majors in colleges and universities at home and abroad, and have received high praise from users. Our market share of similar products ranks among the top in the country, and the market share of laboratory instruments in universities is over 70%. Our company currently has fixed assets with an original value of 16 million yuan, covering an area of 23 acres, a building area of over 10000 square meters, more than 100 production equipment, over 70 testing instruments, and more than 200 employees, including over 60 engineering and technical personnel. The company's main products include three-axis instrument series, geotechnical laboratory microcomputer data acquisition and processing system, consolidation instrument series, shear instrument series, compaction instrument series, photoelectric instrument series, and asphalt road testing instrument series. The products mainly adopt national standards and reach advanced levels both internationally and domestically. The company's policy is to "create Chinese famous brands and strive for industry first". In 2000, the Ministry of Construction of China listed our company's products as a project for promoting and transforming scientific and technological achievements, and issued a certificate. Our company's products have been recognized as national level new products by the State Economic and Trade Commission and have been issued certificates. Our company's products have also been awarded the title of Nanjing Excellent New Product by the Nanjing Municipal Economic Commission. Our company's products have also won the third prize for scientific and technological progress in Nanjing. In September 2001, the enterprise passed the national industrial product production license quality management system review. The Second Business Service Department of Nanjing Soil Instrument Factory is the first enterprise in the geotechnical engineering instrument industry to obtain a national industrial product production license after the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued the "Management Measures for Industrial Product Production License". In August 2003, Nanjing Soil Instrument Factory was approved by the Nanjing Municipal Government to be restructured as Nanjing Soil Instrument Factory Co., Ltd. Our company has achieved remarkable results in scientific research and development, providing one product after another for higher education research, providing equipment support for cultivating researchers in geotechnical engineering, and maintaining good economic benefits for the enterprise, enabling it to maintain a leading position in the industry. Our company's R&D personnel have mastered microcontroller technology and software programming technology, and have successfully applied microcontroller technology, computer software and hardware technology, and servo control technology to geotechnical engineering instruments in their work, reducing instrument costs, improving instrument reliability, simplifying mechanical structures, and enhancing instrument automation levels. In 2001, based on the technical requirements proposed by the Department of Earth Sciences at Nanjing University, our company led the design and completion of the SLB-1 fully automatic stress-strain controlled triaxial shear permeability tester. This project won the second prize in the university category in the 2002 Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education's self-made experimental instrument selection. In 2004, I led the design and completion of the "TKC-1 Geotechnical Laboratory Microcomputer Control and Data Acquisition System", which passed the new product appraisal organized by the Nanjing Economic Commission. The appraisal committee believed that the system had reached the leading level in China. In 2002, our company obtained two utility model patents for the stress-strain triaxial shear tester project, namely the strain controlled triaxial apparatus shear device and the strain controlled triaxial apparatus controller mechanical device. The project was put into production by our company and used in famous universities such as Tsinghua University, Southeast University, Dalian University of Technology, and Tianjin University, training many master's and doctoral students. At the same time, it has also created high economic benefits for the enterprise. Our company has also led the development of software for data acquisition and control of stress-strain controlled triaxial shear tests, unsaturated consolidation direct shear tests, high-low temperature triaxial expansion tests, large-scale high-performance contact surface direct shear instruments, seepage erosion stress coupling test devices and data acquisition, consolidation permeability test data acquisition, etc., which have been put into application. Especially in leading the software development of the similar material data acquisition system at Northeastern University, we successfully applied the cubic term curve fitting technique from numerical simulation to the discrete mathematical calculation of sensor calibration, resulting in a significant improvement in the overall development level of the software development. The design technology of the product has been elevated to a new level. In 2002, our company led the design of a fully automatic air pressure consolidation instrument, which organically combined computer software, single-chip meters, air pressure control, and machinery into the instrument, forming a new growth point for the enterprise. By the end of 2014, nearly 1000 sets had been sold, generating sales revenue of nearly 70 million yuan. This not only created good economic benefits for the enterprise, but also reduced labor intensity and improved automation level for scientific research units. In 2005, our company was invited to participate in the drafting of the national standard for geotechnical engineering instruments under the supervision of the Ministry of Water Resources. Our company was the main drafting unit for the national standards for pneumatic consolidation instruments and horizontal bar consolidation instruments. We also collaborated with other units to draft national standards such as strain controlled direct shear instruments, compaction instruments, ring cutters, on-site cross plate shear instruments, and liquid limit instruments. The above-mentioned national standards have been announced and implemented. Our company has recently collaborated with Ocean University of China to obtain copyright registration for the computer software "MSZ-1 Model Test Pile Loading Device Control System Version 1.0", registration number: 2011SR017821. After the product was launched in the school, we organized training, guided experiments, answered questions and solved after-sales service problems, and helped master's and doctoral students solve problems that arose during the experimental process. Many students completed their studies with our help and received their praise. Therefore, our company's scientific research projects are constantly emerging, and the space for development is increasing. Geotechnical engineering instruments are suitable for civil engineering, water conservancy engineering, transportation engineering, and geotechnical laboratories in colleges and universities.
