1、 Overview
Orifice plate, V-cone, nozzle, Venturi, Delta bar, Velbar and other flow meters are typical differential pressure flow meters. Their working principles are the same, but the way of taking differential pressure is different (i.e. the throttle element is different). They have the same flow formula (see formula one), and the basic configuration of the flow meter is also the same. A typical differential pressure flowmeter consists of throttling elements (orifice plate, V-cone, nozzle, etc.), differential pressure transmitter, three valve group, pressure transmitter, Pt-100 platinum resistance thermometer, intelligent flow integrator, etc.
Differential pressure flow meters are mainly used in high temperature and high pressure or non high temperature and high pressure but with a diameter greater than DN300. They can measure media such as steam, gas, and liquid, and their specific application ranges vary. Orifice flowmeter is the most classic differential pressure flowmeter, which has been widely used due to standardized production; However, due to its high pressure loss, narrow range, easy wear, and many alternative instruments, its selection has been limited. The V-cone flowmeter has low pressure loss and wide range, making it an ideal substitute for orifice flowmeters. The nozzle flowmeter is not easily worn out and is particularly suitable for measuring steam under high temperature and high pressure conditions such as boiler outlets. Other differential pressure flow meters such as Venturi, Delta, and Velbar are also selected under different operating conditions, and each has its own advantages and disadvantages. 3 The measuring medium is water and water vapor, and the density and viscosity may not be filled in, but the density and viscosity of oils and solvents should be filled in.
4 When measuring the medium as a gas, the flow rate, gas composition, density, viscosity, and relative humidity must be clearly filled in. The density and viscosity of general gases may not be filled in, but the density and viscosity of rare gases must be filled in.
5 Differential pressure should generally be designed by the manufacturer and does not need to be filled in; But if the form has already been ordered, it can be filled in as a reference. If it is unreasonable, please contact the buyer again.
