Introduction to cement ball mill

Cement ball mill is mainly used for grinding finished products and raw materials in cement plants, and is also suitable for grinding various ores and other grindable materials in industrial and mining enterprises such as metallurgy, chemical industry, and power. It can be used for open flow grinding and is also suitable for circulating flow grinding composed of a powder selector. Cement grinding tools have the characteristics of strong adaptability to materials, continuous production, high crushing ratio, and easy speed regulation to grind the fineness of products. Cement ball mills can be used for both dry and wet production, as well as for grinding and drying operations simultaneously.

Structure and working principle of cement ball mill

The cement ball mill consists of six main parts: feeding device, supporting device, rotating part, discharging device, transmission device, and lubrication and cooling device.

The material is uniformly fed into the first bin of the ball mill through the feeding device via the hollow shaft screw. The bin is equipped with stepped or corrugated lining plates and contains steel balls of different specifications. The rotation of the cylinder generates centrifugal force, which brings the steel balls to a certain height and then drops them, causing heavy impact and grinding on the material. After the material reaches rough grinding in the first warehouse, it enters the second warehouse through a single-layer partition plate. The warehouse is lined with a flat lining plate and contains steel balls for further grinding of the material. The powdered material is discharged through the discharge grate to complete the grinding operation.
The main working part of the ball mill for grinding materials occurs on the horizontally low-speed rotating cylinder. When the cylinder is driven to rotate by the transmission device, the grinding body is attached to the lining plate surface on the inner wall of the mill cylinder due to the effect of inertia centrifugal force, and rotates together with it. After being brought to a certain height, it falls freely under the action of gravity. At this time, the grinding body shatters the material inside the cylinder. At the same time, in the rotating mill, the grinding body not only has a cyclic motion of rising and falling, but also slides and rolls, causing grinding between the grinding body, lining plate and the ground material, resulting in fine grinding of the material. During the impact crushing and grinding of materials, the height difference between the material surface at the feeding and discharging ends is utilized to allow the material to flow slowly from the feeding end to the discharging end, completing the grinding operation.

Characteristics of cement ball mill

1. Ordinary cement ball mill: Ordinary cement ball mills are mostly used in circular flow grinding systems, characterized by high grinding efficiency, large mill output, and low power consumption. Especially when grinding slag cement, their performance is more prominent. Generally, the output of a grinding machine can be increased by 15-20%, and the power consumption can be reduced by about 10%. In addition, the temperature of the finished product can be reduced by 20-40 ℃, and the fineness of the product is also easy to adjust.
2. High precision and high-yield cement ball mill: High precision and high-yield cement ball mills are mainly used in open flow grinding systems. Its characteristics are simple system equipment and process flow, low investment, and small factory floor area; Advanced internal selection powder special compartment device is adopted in the structure of the grinder, and activation device is added to the fine grinding compartment. There is a dedicated discharge grate plate at the grinding tail, which greatly reduces the size of the grinding medium in the grinding compartment, greatly improves the grinding efficiency, and achieves the goal of high output and low energy consumption.
