2、 The Agilent ZORBAX Extend C18 chromatographic column utilizes innovative dual coordination C18-C18 bonding technology, making it possible to develop high-resolution separations using silica gel primary color columns under high pH conditions. Under high pH conditions, uncharged alkaline compounds will not interact with the underlying silica gel. Efficient separation with excellent peak shape has been achieved, and the separation degree has been improved. High pH separation is also the best choice for separating compounds that are more stable or soluble in high pH solutions. The mobile phase buffer suitable for high pH conditions includes triethylamine, pyrrolidine, aminoacetic acid, borate, and ammonium hydroxide. Ammonium hydroxide with pH 10.5 is an excellent mobile phase modifier for peptides and small molecule LC/MS, with higher sensitivity compared to trifluoroacetic acid containing a mobile phase under low pH conditions. The Extend C18 chromatographic column is stable within the pH range of 2-11.5 and exhibits good peak shapes for all types of compounds. The Extend C18 chromatographic column can also provide other selectivity under low pH conditions.
