Overview of Z710 DC Motor

The Z710 DC motor is a newly developed Z-series DC motor by our company, with a center height of 710 millimeters. Due to the unique structure and performance of the Z710 motor, there are certain differences compared to the Z series medium-sized DC motor.


Service conditions for Z710 DC motor

1. The motor can be installed in harsh environmental conditions, but the correct cooling method and protection level must be selected to maintain the cleanliness inside the motor.

2. The cooling air of the motor should not contain gases such as acids or alkalis that may damage the insulation and commutation performance of the motor.

3. If the motor is used in ships and humid tropical regions, as well as in working environments with salt spray, humidity, etc., a separate agreement should be reached.

The rated power of the motor refers to the condition where the altitude does not exceed 1000 meters and the ambient air temperature does not exceed 40 ℃.

The power supply for the motor can be either a static rectifier power supply or a DC generator power supply.

Structural characteristics of Z710 DC motor product

The base of this motor adopts a polygonal laminated structure, which has the advantages of small size and light weight, and is suitable for thyristor rectifier power supply. The insulation level of the motor is Class F. The motor adopts solvent-free paint vacuum pressure impregnation treatment (VPI), which makes the winding insulation have good moisture resistance, mechanical strength, and excellent thermal conductivity. The armature core is made of stacked silicon steel sheets and has good magnetic conductivity. The motor adopts rolling bearings for stable operation.


The installation type of this motor complies with GB997 and IEC34-7 "Code for Motor Structure and Installation Form"

Standard IMI001 end cap bearing, foot installation, horizontal placement, cylindrical single axis extension

IMI002 end cap bearing can be derived, with foot installation, horizontal placement, cylindrical dual axis extension

The protection level of the motor is based on GB4942.1 and IEC34-5 "Classification of Protection for Motor Enclosures" standards. The standard motor enclosure protection levels are IP22 and IP44. According to GB1993 and IEC34-6 "Motor Cooling Methods" standards, there are three types of motor cooling methods: ICI7, IC37, and ICW37A86. If users need other protection levels or cooling methods, they can negotiate separately. The standard type of cooling air for this motor is located at the drive end (non commutator end) of the motor.


Z710 DC Motor Product Performance

1. The rating of this motor is for continuous operation mode (S1).

2. The standard rated voltage of this motor is 440V, 660V, and 750V.

3. The excitation method of this motor is separate excitation. The excitation winding has four lead terminals, divided into two groups. When the two groups are connected in series, the excitation voltage is 220V, and when connected in parallel, the excitation voltage is 110V.

The actual excitation voltage of the motor should be based on the rated value of the actual excitation current of the motor.

This motor allows forced excitation; The strong excitation voltage shall not exceed 500V. During strong excitation, the excitation current may briefly exceed the rated excitation current, but after the excitation current stabilizes, it shall not exceed.

4. Overload capacity of this motor:


The first type of DC motor (Class A) can withstand short-term (one minute) overload as specified in the table below.

The second type of DC motor (Class B) can withstand the following continuous loads:

(1) Continuous operation with 115% rated power load within the rated armature voltage and rated speed range, under which the temperature rise will be higher; Other characteristics may differ from the regulations for operation under rated conditions.

(2) Within the rated armature voltage and rated speed range, after continuous operation at rated load, the temperature rise shall not exceed the specified value for two hours at 125% rated power load, and other performance may differ from the specified value under rated conditions.

*The occasional short-term overload capacity refers to the ability of a motor to withstand a continuous rated load in one minute, which rarely occurs or in emergency situations. It is recommended to set the instantaneous breaking device of the circuit breaker according to the occasional short-term overload capacity.

**The commonly used short-term overload capacity refers to the ability of a motor to repeatedly withstand loads exceeding its rated capacity as part of its normal operating cycle.

***After short-term overload operation; It must be operated with light load to ensure that the root mean square value of the load throughout the entire load cycle of the motor does not exceed its continuous rating.

For the second type of DC motor (Class B), occasional overload times are allowed to reach 2.5 times (at rated base speed), with a time not exceeding 15 seconds (but subject to consultation with our company).

5. Current change rate

At all speeds and loads, the current change rate (di/dt) of the motor is allowed to reach 200 times the rated current/s.

6. Noise and vibration

The "Method and Limits for Determination of Quinine Sound" of this motor complies with the national standard GBI0069.3.

The 'Noise Measurement Methods and Limits' of this motor comply with the national standard GBI0068.2.


Capacity selection of Z710 DC motor

The first type of DC motor (Class A):

The detailed data of this type of motor can be found in the technical data sheet, and users can select the model and specifications of the motor according to the required capacity, speed, and voltage.

The second type of DC motor (Class B):

The power, current and other technical data of this type of motor are lower than the values in the A-class technical data sheet, but the specific values need to be agreed upon by the user and the manufacturing company.

In addition to the specifications listed in the technical data, users can negotiate with the manufacturing company to derive other specifications of DC motors based on specific needs.
