Rotary motors are divided into two categories: low-speed high torque motors and high-speed rotary motors.

Low speed high torque motors are less commonly used in modern excavator slewing mechanisms due to their large size and heavy weight, while high-speed slewing motors are smaller in size and lighter in weight, making it easier to layout the slewing mechanism and meet different slewing speed and torque requirements. Therefore, they are widely adopted.

After working for a long time, excavators often experience phenomena such as weak and unstable rotation of their rotary motors. The reasons and countermeasures will not be mentioned for now, and will be discussed specifically next time.

Working principle: The hydraulic oil of the oil pump flows into different oil channels, pushing different plungers, sliding shoes, inclined plates, etc., thereby achieving right and left rotation

Safety valve (relief valve) in rotary motor

The safety valve is installed on the top of the rotary motor, limiting the pressure of the rotary circuit within the set safety pressure range, and reducing the impact when the rotary motor starts or stops

The safety valve is designed in two stages. When the safety valve is opened, there will be no excessive pressure, so there is rarely any vibration load generated when the rotary motor stops operating.
