1. Welding ball blanks are generally cut using semi-automatic gas cutting (using a cutting compass to cut circles), imitation gas cutting, and CNC flame gas cutting. In order to achieve high production efficiency, flame CNC cutting machines are used.
2. Before pressing the billet, it should be heated in a reflection furnace or resistance furnace, and uniformly heated to 10500C ± 500C in the furnace for comparison with a temperature card.
3. Hemispherical compression molding requires strict control of mold size and heating temperature. Compression is generally carried out on a hydraulic press, using convex and concave molds. The demolding temperature should not be lower than 6500C and should be naturally cooled in air.
4. The cutting groove allowance can be processed on machine tools or semi-automatic flame cutting machines. Considering the slow processing speed on machine tools, flame cutting machines can be used for cutting. The equipment consists of an adjustable rotating platform and a fixed cutting gun.
5. When assembling two hemispheres with ribbed plates, the shrinkage of the weld seam must be left to ensure that the size and roundness of the finished hollow sphere after welding are achieved.
6. During welding, the welding ball is placed on a dedicated rotating platform and a hollow ball special fund automatic welding machine is used. The sphere rotates uniformly on the rotating platform, while the welding gun remains stationary.
