The sheath is an important component in all temperature measurement applications, which can isolate the measurement process from the surrounding environment. It not only protects the environment and personnel, but also separates corrosive, high-pressure, and high flow media from the temperature sensor body, allowing users to replace the thermometer during operation.

The sheath comes in various design styles and materials to meet all application requirements. The interface type and basic manufacturing process are important design option elements. Normally, we mainly classify sheaths into threaded, welded in, and flange types.

In addition, the sheath can be divided into two types: assembled and integral. The assembled sheath is made of pipe material, and the end is sealed by welding the bottom part. The integral sheath is processed from bar material.
