1 Overview

1.1 Scope of Application

The WBH-802A microcomputer transformer protection device is suitable for transformers with various voltage levels of 220kV and above.

The WBH-802A device integrates all non electrical quantity protection of a transformer. This manual provides instructions for the WBH-802A device when used in a 220kV system.

1.2 Functional Features

High performance and high reliability hardware structure

Adopting 32-bit high-performance DSP processor, 32-bit logic processor, and 16 bit high-speed AD.

Strong anti-interference ability

Adequate anti-interference measures are taken in the design of software and hardware, with a 6U fully enclosed chassis, an overall panel, and strict separation of strong and weak electricity. The anti-interference ability of the device is greatly improved, and the external electromagnetic radiation also meets relevant standards.

Powerful self checking function

Open circuit self-test can accurately detect any open circuit disconnection or open circuit breakdown fault, issue an alarm, and reliably lock protection; Fixed value self-test can detect errors in the fixed value storage area, fixed value exceeding limits, etc.

Flexible protection configuration

Truly achieving modular design of the program, non electric protection names can be flexibly configured through the dedicated configuration tool Prate-800A.

Friendly human-machine interface

Color LCD large screen display, adopting a fully Chinese simulated Windows menu mode, with clear structure and easy use. The main page displays a color main wiring diagram, which is beautiful and practical.

Convenient communication point-to-point function

On site, without the conditions for protective function testing, the device can conveniently conduct communication point-to-point testing by sending relevant protection action information, alarm information, etc. to the automation monitoring system through the communication point-to-point menu.

Complete event recording function

It can record 100 faults and 200 abnormal information. The recorded data is compatible with COMTRADE.

Powerful communication capabilities

Provide 4 Ethernet interfaces or 2 RS-485 interfaces, as well as GPS clock synchronization interface, PC debugging interface, and local printing interface. The communication interface has strong compatibility and openness, and supports IEC60870-5-103 or IEC61850 communication protocols.

Complete printing function

It has the function of manually starting waveform recording and printing, which can print the status of each switch quantity during normal or fault conditions.
