General oil tank bottom plate welding seam leakage testing method
The bottom plate of the oil tank must undergo leak detection after construction and maintenance. Common methods include vacuum box leak testing, magnetic flux leakage scanning, gas leak testing, and water pressure testing. Vacuum leak detection box for tank bottom welds, vacuum extractor suitable for vacuum leak testing method
The vacuum leak detection box is made of thin plate and is a bottomless rectangular box. A thick glass is tightly embedded at the top of the box, and the four edges of the bottom of the box are wrapped with airtight sponge rubber, making the box tightly fastened to the bottom plate. Brush the box with reflective white paint. Install a suction short tube and an intake valve on the box. When testing the weld seam, first apply soapy water on the weld seam, then fasten the vacuum box, and use a vacuum pump to draw the inside of the box to a vacuum degree of 55kPa, preferably above -70KPa; Observe whether there are any bubbles inside the box. If there are bubbles, mark them and weld them.
Vacuum leak detection box for tank bottom welds is often used to inspect oil tank welds, especially the circumferential welding part, and is not commonly used for the entire tank bottom. The vacuum leak detection box for the bottom weld seam of the tank is installed outside the vacuum box, and a certain negative pressure value is generated by compressed air of 0.5MPa, generally above -70KPa, to achieve vacuum leak detection test of the weld seam
