The combination of V-cone flow sensor and differential pressure transmitter is a novel differential pressure flowmeter that can accurately measure fluids under various flow conditions within a wide Reynolds number range (8 × 103 ≤ Re ≤ 5 × 107). Like other differential pressure flowmeters, the principle is based on Bernoulli's law of energy conservation for continuous fluid flow in a closed pipeline. For an ideal fluid, the flow velocity of the medium is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure.
The unique physical structure of the V-cone flow sensor's conical throttling not only expands the measurement range of the medium flow rate, but also has a special structure for fluid rectification. Therefore, the straight pipe section requirement is very low in the process, which is completely different from other differential pressure flow meters that require a long straight pipe section to stabilize the fluid flow. The V-cone flow sensor inherits the advantages of good stability and strong universality of traditional differential pressure flow meters, and avoids the limitations of traditional differential pressure flow meters.
The basic principle of a V-cone flow sensor is to install a V-cone and corresponding pressure tap coaxially in the measuring tube. The measuring tube and V-cone are designed and precision machined.
◆Composition of flow measurement system:
VThe cone flowmeter consists of a flow measurement system consisting of a built-in cone joint fluid, a three valve group, heat dissipation components, a pressure pipe, a differential pressure transmitter, and a flow computer. For media such as gas and steam, temperature and pressure compensation can be added to form a mass flow rate and standard volume measurement system.

5Range ratio (range): usually 10:1, selecting appropriate parameters can achieve a ratio of 50:1

◆Main usage features:
1High accuracy and good repeatability: The V-cone flowmeter has an accuracy of ± 0.5% of the measured value and a repeatability of ± 0.2%.
2Wide range ratio and low pressure loss: The V-cone flowmeter has a normal range ratio of 10:1. Accurate parameters can achieve a ratio of 30:1, and the pressure loss of the V-cone flowmeter is only 1/5~1/10 of that of the orifice plate, which can greatly reduce operating energy consumption.
3Low requirements for installing straight pipe sections: Due to the unique center streamline throttling structure of the V-cone flowmeter, the problem of straight pipe section rectification is well solved, directly rectifying irregular fluids into ideal fluids. The front straight pipe section is 0-3D, and the rear straight pipe section is 0-1D.
4Long term stability performance: The unique design of the cone ensures that the fluid flows through the cone in a gradual process without sudden changes. The flow rate first passes through the cone and then reaches the edge of the cone. Therefore, the cone will not be frequently worn by the fluid, and the β value can remain unchanged for a long time. Therefore, the instrument can be used for a long time without recalibration.
5Wide application range, capable of measuring high temperature, high pressure and complex working conditions media: V-cone flowmeter, like orifice plate throttling device, works at a temperature and pressure depending on the material and grade of the pipeline and flange.
