According to relevant national regulations, college and vocational school students whose home address is not in the same place as their school and who do not have any salary income can purchase discounted train tickets with their student ID card. This is a preferential treatment and care provided by the state for eligible students to go home for vacation. But in recent years, many criminal gangs have taken advantage of the government's policy of purchasing discounted train tickets for students, and have produced and sold a large number of fake student ID cards for purchasing discounted train tickets, causing huge economic losses to the national railway department. In order to maintain normal railway ticket sales order, protect the interests of students and the country, and crack down on illegal activities such as manufacturing and selling fake student ID cards, the Ministry of Railways and the Ministry of Education have decided to use the "Train Ticket Student Discount Card" to purchase student discount train tickets.

Instructions for using the "Train Ticket Student Discount Card":

1、 Characteristics of the "Train Ticket Student Discount Card"

1. The 'Train Ticket Student Discount Card' is made using the world's most advanced electronic tag technology;
2. The card consists of a non-contact miniature IC and a transmitting antenna;
3. Micro ICs can store students' basic information and ticket purchase frequency;
4. Using modern information technology and anti-counterfeiting technology to encrypt, decrypt, and identify it.

2、 Precautions for use

1. The discount card must be pasted on the inner page of the student ID card;
2. After pasting (regardless of orientation), it is strictly prohibited to remove and re paste;
3. Do not fold the discount card at a large angle;
4. Students are not allowed to include other non-contact IC cards in their student ID when purchasing tickets.

3、 The 'Train Ticket Student Discount Card' will be damaged in the following situations

1. Remove the 'Student Ticket Discount Card' pasted on the student ID card;
2. Severely folding the 'student ticket discount card';
3. IC chips are crushed by hard objects or soaked in water.
If the discount card is damaged due to human factors, one shall be responsible.

4、 Usage method

1. The 'Train Ticket Student Discount Card' holds the number of rides and is deducted from the train ticket sales system during ticket sales;
2. Every academic year, the school uses the provided card reading equipment to recharge the "Train Ticket Student Discount Card" (each recharge can purchase four discount tickets);
3. The train station sells discounted train tickets for student ID cards or electronic student ID cards with "student ticket discount cards" affixed (tickets will not be sold if they are not affixed to the student ID card);
4. There are a certain number of fuses in the "Student Ticket Discount Card", and one fuse will be blown every time the card is recharged. After all the fuses are blown, the card cannot be recharged again.
Therefore, the confirm button can only be pressed once during each recharge.

5、 Precautions for pasting discount cards on student ID cards with soft leather covers

Due to the easy folding and bending of student ID cards with soft covers, discount cards attached to them are more susceptible to damage compared to those with hard covers. Therefore, we recommend that schools adopt hard cover student ID cards. If the soft cover cannot be replaced due to various reasons, hard paper or plastic sheets can be inserted into the soft cover student ID card (do not insert non-contact IC cards or iron sheets) to prevent the student ID card from being bent or folded, thus achieving the purpose of protecting the discount card.
