Technical parameters of power battery thermal abuse (thermal shock) test chamber
1、 The heating test shall be conducted according to the following steps:
1. Safety test of single battery
- Charge the individual battery according to the method in 6.1.3.
- Place the individual battery in the temperature chamber:
——For lithium-ion batteries, the temperature chamber rises from room temperature to 130 ℃± 2 ℃ at a rate of 5 ℃/min and maintains this temperature for 30 minutes before stopping heating;
——For nickel metal hydride batteries, the temperature chamber rises from room temperature to 85 ℃± 2 ℃ at a rate of 5 ℃/min and maintains this temperature for 2 hours before stopping heating.
c. Observe for 1 hour.
- Battery module safety test
The heating test shall be conducted according to the following steps:;
- Charge the battery module according to the method in 6.1.4;
- For lithium-ion batteries, the temperature chamber rises from room temperature to 130 ℃± 2 ℃ at a rate of 5 ℃/min and maintains this temperature for 30 minutes before stopping heating;
For nickel metal hydride batteries, the temperature chamber rises from room temperature to 85 ℃± 2 ℃ at a rate of 5 ℃/min and maintains this temperature for 2 hours before stopping heating.
c. Observe for 1 hour.
