Product details
The V-cone flowmeter is a flow measurement instrument mainly used for measuring the flow of liquids, gases, and vapors. There are two forms of V-cone flowmeter: integrated and split.
Product Overview:
V-cone flowmeter, also known as; V-shaped cone flowmeter; V-shaped cone flowmeter; Cone flowmeter; Cone flowmeter; Internal cone flowmeter; Internal cone flowmeter, integrated V-cone flowmeter. V-cone flowmeter is a differential pressure flowmeter developed in the 1980s, and its successful development is a qualitative leap in differential pressure flow measurement.
working principle:
It utilizes the throttling effect generated by the V-cone in the flow field to measure the flow rate by detecting the upstream and downstream pressure difference. Compared with ordinary throttling components, it has changed the throttling layout from central orifice throttling to annular throttling.
When the fluid filled in the pipeline flows through the flow orifice plate inside the pipeline, the flow velocity will form a local contraction at the throttling point of the flow orifice plate, thereby accelerating the flow velocity and reducing the static pressure. Therefore, a pressure drop or pressure difference is generated before and after the standard orifice plate. The larger the flow rate of the medium, the greater the pressure difference generated before and after the flow orifice plate. Therefore, the size of the fluid flow can be measured by measuring the pressure difference. This measurement method is based on the principles of flow continuity equation (law of conservation of mass) and Bernoulli equation (law of conservation of energy).
Advantages:
Compared with other flow meters, V-cone flowmeter has the advantages of high long-term accuracy, good stability, limited installation conditions, wear resistance, wide measurement range, low pressure loss, and suitability for contaminated media.
Composition structure:
The V-cone flowmeter is composed of a V-cone sensor and a differential pressure transmitter
The V-cone flowmeter is a new type of differential pressure flow measurement device that uses a pointed cone installed coaxially in the measuring tube as the throttling element. It is a new throttling device based on the principle of Venturi tube measurement and integrates the advantages of classic Venturi tube, annular orifice plate, and wear-resistant orifice plate.
