The surge counter QBJS01 uses a monitoring method to count the current activity status in the PE. Under normal circumstances, the PE line should have no current or a stable small current. When lightning strikes or overvoltage interference occur, causing the lightning protection module to start, a sudden release current will appear in the PE line of the counter, causing the counting module to count.

wiring method

1. The counter has three terminals on top and bottom. The upper two terminals are connected and connected to the PE system. The lower terminal is connected to the grounding device.

2. There are four small terminals at the bottom, labeled L, N, Y+, and Y - respectively. L is connected to the system power supply (220V) phase line, N is connected to the system power supply neutral line, and Y+and Y - provide alarm pulse signals for external alarm devices. When counting occurs, Y+and Y - will display low to medium flat pulses. Y-should be connected to the external alarm device GND. Y+has an internal pull-up resistor, which is normally at a high level. If there is no external alarm device, Y+and Y - are vacant.

Instructions for use

1. This count has been set internally and does not need to be adjusted.

2. After the first power on and each power outage, the reset button on the counter panel should be pressed once to make the counter display the "00" state.

3. If the counter counts normally without power on, there are two ways:

A. Overvoltage interference occurs in the circuit and the lightning protection module is activated.

B. Lightning induced surge occurs in the line, and the lightning protection module is activated.
