1、 Overview

The LC type elliptical gear flowmeter series is a direct reading cumulative liquid flowmeter, and the LCB type elliptical gear flowmeter adds a signaling mechanism on the basis of the LC type flowmeter. It can be matched with our company's product "microcomputer flow controller" and is widely used for measuring and automatically controlling liquid flow (total amount) or instantaneous flow in pipelines. Due to its large range, high accuracy, stable performance, ability to measure high temperature and high viscosity liquids, easy installation, and convenient operation, it is suitable for fluid measurement in industrial sectors such as petroleum extraction, refining, chemical engineering, commerce, and oil storage.

2、 Working principle

The measurement of liquid flow rate is completed indoors (see Figure 1). There is a pair of elliptical gears in the measuring room. Under the pressure difference between the liquid at the inlet and outlet, the pair of elliptical gears continuously rotate on the shaft. By measuring their number of revolutions, the total amount of liquid flowing through the instrument can be determined.

As shown in Figure 1 (a), a pair of elliptical gears A and B separate the inlet and outlet, forming a crescent shaped space of liquid between gear A and the measuring chamber wall - called "one part" (shaded in the figure). Gear A has a rotational torque, while the total torque on gear B is equal to zero. Gear A drives gear B to rotate. Figure 1 (b) shows the middle position of the two wheels. When moved to the position shown in Figure 1 (c), gear A loses rotational torque, while gear B gains rotational torque. Gear B drives gear A to rotate, as shown in Figure 1 (d).

5、 Introduction to Zero Return Flow Meter

The zero return flow meter is a set of counter that can be reset to zero added to the LC type flow meter. When in use, rotating clockwise ③ can reset the zero return counter to zero position, and pressing ② counterclockwise rotation can reset the pointer to zero position. Using the zero return counter does not affect the cumulative counter measurement.
