At present, there is a consensus in the international hydraulic valve industry that the leakage index of cone valve type hydraulic valves is described in "drops", which means that the leakage is measured in "a few drops per minute", and each drop is equivalent to a volume of 0.05mL. How to accurately measure such a small volume? Currently, the main methods are still visual inspection and a few drops, but how to determine the size of the drops? The principle of "burette" is used here to determine the size of the droplet. As shown in Figure 2, when the diameter of the dropper is between 2-4mm and there is a small dropper nozzle at the outlet with a diameter of about 0.7mm, the volume of liquid droplets dropped under the weight of the liquid is basically 0.05mL. In order to reduce the back pressure at the oil return port of the test valve during testing, the rated flow rate of the back pressure valve should be selected to be greater than twice the rated flow rate of the test valve. The opening pressure should be 0.5-0.7 bar higher than the pressure generated by the height of the dropper relative to the one-way valve to ensure good sealing of the one-way valve and avoid leakage.
