Seven types of cable testing modules
Seven types of cable testing modules
Product details

Nowadays, more and more customers need to test seven types of wires, including wire factories and system integrators.

How can we better test seven types of wires?
The inventory of spot testing modules we provide solves seven types of testing problems for everyone, including channel, link, and jumper testing methods. (Special reminder: The following adapters can only be tested with the DTX-1800 instrument)
1. Channel testing module
Fluke DTX-CHA011 TERA (mainly for Simon Class 7 systems), DTX-CHA012S (mainly for Nexen Class 7 systems)
2. Long term link module
Fluke DTX-PLA011 (Simon Long Term Link Adapter) DTX-PLA012S (Nexen Long Term Link)
3. Jumper testing method: (Fluke Class 7 Jumper Testing Module LABA/SET+GG45/TERA)
Seven types of jumper testing options: LABA/SET is a universal testing adapter designed for jumper testing, including one host LABA/MN and one remote LABA/RU adapter. The method for testing Cat7 jumpers is to install the Nexen (GG45) or Simon's (TERA) Class 7 module on top, connect it to LABA with a Class 7 wire (4-8cm), and create a test model. Install this model onto the DTX-1800, select the Cat7 jumper testing standard (and corresponding jumper length), then place the knob in AutoTest mode, connect the tested Class 7 jumper, and press the test button to start the test.

Additional knowledge points:

What is the difference between Category 7 Ethernet cables and Category 7 Ethernet cables
Both Category 7 and Super Category 7 cables are designed with a 100 meter standard and have an impedance of 100 ohms.
Some customers require 600MHz testing for Category 7 Ethernet cables during testing, while others require * * 650MHz testing. However, in reality, it is tested on Fluke DTX
-In 1800, it is rare to test Category 7 Ethernet cables. In the Fluke 8000, there is no Category 7 testing standard at all, and it is directly tested for Category 7 Ethernet cables at 1000MHz. Therefore, sometimes the testing varies depending on the device, and whether the software has been upgraded should be carefully checked. Now Fluke DTX
-1800 has long been discontinued, but many companies are still using it. In people's minds, the Fluke DTX-1800 is a good standard.
Are Category 7 and Category 5e cables made as jumper cables or box cables?
