
Saccharomat is a fully automatic polarimeter for the sugar industry.
Quartz has almost the same optical dispersion (ORD) as sucrose solution. This principle has been uniquely applied as a quartz wedge compensation mechanism by S+H Schmidt Hanxi company Saccharomat. This working principle is currently a unique patented technology.
Due to the fact that quartz and the sample exhibit offset reactions towards small wavelengths in the same way, these offsets are automatically compensated for, thus the dispersion effect is automatically cancelled out. This ensures long-term stable high-precision measurement results without the need for recalibration during the instrument's lifespan. The biggest advantage is that even samples with very dark colors and high absorption (light) ability can be directly measured for optical rotation using NIR near-infrared wavelengths after filtration (using AutoFit automatic filter) without the need for additional clarification.
The quartz wedge automatic polarimeter Saccharomat can be directly combined with the refractometer measurement unit to form a complete automatic purity analyzer, which can simultaneously measure the optical rotation (international standard sugar content) and Brix value, thus directly obtaining the purity value. This combination scheme is extremely economical and efficient.
