Purpose:
The SQ photosynthetically active radiation sensor is used for long-term installation outdoors or in water to measure the radiation values of light in the wavelength range of 400~700nm. The measurement unit is the photon flux density (μ mol m-2 s-1). During the process of photosynthesis in green plants, the portion of spectral energy absorbed from solar radiation that excites chlorophyll molecules is called photosynthetically active radiation. photosynthetically active radiation is the energy source for plant life activities, organic matter synthesis, and yield formation. Widely used in research in fields such as agricultural meteorology and crop growth.
