Model Meaning
Product Introduction
The SOW type snail shell double suction water pipeline pump is a horizontally split snail shell double suction pump, mainly used to transport clean water with a temperature not higher than 105 ℃ or liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water. As a high flow pump, it is suitable for conveying liquids in water plants, pump stations, power stations, air conditioning circulating water, heating hot water circulation, industrial water supply systems, fire protection systems, ships, oil refining industry (general liquids) and other occasions.

Medium: Clear water or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to clear water (solid particles ≤ 80 mg/L).
Temperature: ≤ 105 ℃
hydraulic performance
The optimized hydraulic model does not compromise the excellent hydraulic performance of the pump, and there is no axial force (theoretically) which poses a challenge for the operation of large pumps, especially for water pumps. The pump body, pump cover, and impeller are precision cast, and the smooth flow surface enhances the pump's cavitation performance and efficiency.
Sealing performance
According to the conveying medium or user requirements, use packing seals or mechanical seals without being restricted by steering. For packing seals, there is sufficient space for replacing the packing.
working conditions
1. The allowable working pressure for SOW type snail shell double suction clean water pipeline pump is 2.5 MPa; The inlet pressure of the SOW type snail shell double suction clean water pipeline pump plus the head of the double suction pump is ≤ 2.5 MPa. According to the high pressure borne by the chemical pump casing, the materials of the pump body and cover are gray cast iron (1.6 MPa), ductile iron (2.0 MPa), and cast steel (2.5 MPa). Please indicate the pressure condition or material of the pump when placing an order.
2. Medium: Water with a temperature ≤ 105 ℃ or other liquids with physical and chemical properties similar to water (solid particles ≤ 80 mg/L).
bearing
1. The single-stage double suction pump adopts a sealed rolling bearing lubricated with grease, which is easy to maintain and has a long operating time.
2. The snail shell double suction pump is equipped with a constant oil level oil cup and can also be lubricated with thin oil.
3. Imported (SKF, NSK, NTN) high-quality bearings are selected for smooth operation, low noise, and long service life.
STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION
Compact structure and good stability. The SOW type snail shell double suction pipeline pump is a pump shell with an open structure, and the inlet and outlet are both on the pump body. During maintenance, only the pump cover needs to be lifted out, and the rotor components can be removed for maintenance operations without disassembling the pipeline, which is very convenient.
The electric motor (driver) can be installed on the left or right end as needed, making it convenient for on-site installation. Structurally shortening the axial dimensions of rotor components results in better shaft rigidity and more stable and reliable operation. There is a pump body sealing ring, and the impeller sealing ring is an optional component. The sealing ring can be replaced after wear, reducing operation and maintenance costs.

Does the production of the pump add a cone tube to increase the outlet pipeline?
We know that there is a great similarity between power transmission and hydraulic transmission through pumps. In power transmission, the longer the line and the thinner the wire (the smaller the diameter), the greater the line loss and voltage rise. In hydraulic transportation, the longer the pipeline and the smaller the diameter, the greater the pipeline loss and the greater the pressure drop. So, in order to reduce pipeline losses, should we simply increase the pipeline? This is an economic issue, just like whether to thicken transmission lines. Expanding the pipeline can reduce line loss, thereby saving electricity, and even reduce the head of the water pump and the accompanying motor, saving equipment investment. However, on the other hand, it also increases pipeline investment (including pipelines, various valves, and maintenance costs). Therefore, a comprehensive economic decision should be made based on the length of the passenger route and the running time of the water pump. Generally speaking, for long-distance transportation, there is no need to increase (or decrease) the outlet pipeline, and pressure or relay transportation should be adopted.
The sequence of start-up and shutdown operations for water pumps
When starting up for the first time, pumps with couplings can remove the connecting parts and jog the motor to test the direction of rotation. Alternatively, without disassembling the coupling, test the motor rotation when there is water in the pump. If the electric motor is directly connected to the pump, it is also necessary to ensure that the pump can only be tested for steering at times. It is strictly prohibited to directly start (pump) and test the direction of the electric motor when there is no water in the pump.
Before starting up, the pump must be filled with water. When starting up, fully operate the inlet valve, close the outlet valve, start the motor, and slowly open the outlet valve to the required flow or pressure after the motor runs at normal speed. Attention: Do not let the pump run for a long time without the outlet valve working and within the small flow rate specified by the pump.
When the pump is running, it is forbidden to use the inlet valve to adjust the flow rate, and the inlet valve must be kept at a large opening.
When shutting down, first close the outlet valve, then turn off the motor. If the inlet valve is installed, it should be closed after the motor stops to ensure that there is water intake in the pump (if there is a one-way valve, it can be left open). During the antifreeze period in the north (or when the ambient temperature is below the freezing temperature of the liquid), the water stored in the pump must be drained to prevent freezing and cracking of the water pump. Long term disuse requires draining all water from the pump, disassembling the pump if necessary, cleaning parts for rust prevention, and storing them properly.
