The SF4 sand flux sensor is derived from the original Flowcapt sensorThe generated version, the new sand flux sensor, is composed of an ultra sturdy, low-power, fully sealed acoustic instrument without any moving parts. This device is integrated with an anemometer and a particle flux meter, and can be used to measure solid particle flux intensity and wind speed. The sensing part of the instrument is a low viscosity, wear-resistant smooth cylindrical tube, supported by two stainless steel circular hoops and cross arms fixed on a vertical pole.

When the solid particles being tested collide with the sensing surface of the sensor (such as sand, dust, or other solid particles), it will cause changes in the internal sound pressure of the sensor. When the sensor is exposed to wind (at a typical threshold)Strong (3m/s or above)The friction generated by convective airflow and the friction generated by potential vortex airflow can also cause changes in internal sound pressure. The independent signals generated by these two phenomena will be fully distinguished by specific acoustic, mechanical, and electronic designs* Afterwards, the sensor outputs three parameters through an internal electronic vibration acoustic system and acoustic converter in the internal cavity:

1. The original sine wave sound signal directly sensed by the instrument (bandwidth: 20HZ-20KHZ)

2. Momentum and particle flux obtained by the instrument (also known as in literature)For: sand flux, particulate matter flux, impact flux, mass flux, etc.)

3. The friction height of the airflow obtained by the instrument is used to obtain the true average wind speed of the particles hitting the sensor at the corresponding height.
