Therefore, microwave drying of wood is faster than conventional heating methods, such as flame, hot air, steam, etc., which use thermal conduction to transfer heat from the outside of the heated wood to the inside, gradually increasing the temperature of the center of the wood. It takes a certain amount of time to reach the required temperature in the center, and wood with poor thermal conductivity requires longer time. So these traditional heating and drying methods have long processing times, high power consumption, uneven heating, and low drying efficiency.
