Accuracy of horizontal boring and milling machine (GB5289-85)
This standard is applicable to horizontal boring and milling machines for general use and ordinary precision.
This standard refers to the international standards IS03070/1-1975 (Precision Inspection of Horizontal Boring and Milling Machines) and IS03070/1-1975/Supplementary 1-1976 "Additional Inspection of Geometric Accuracy and Working Accuracy of Horizontal Boring and Milling Machines with Rotary Worktables"

1. General requirements
1.1 When using this standard, refer to JB2670-82 "General Rules for Precision Inspection of Metal Cutting Machine Tools", especially the installation before precision inspection, idle running and heating of boring shafts and other components, inspection methods, and accuracy of inspection tools.
Adjust the installation level of the machine tool according to Article 3.1 of JB2670. Place a level along the longitudinal and transverse directions of the machine tool at both ends of the bed guide rail. The readings of the level in both longitudinal and transverse directions shall not exceed 0.04/1000.
When the measured length is different from the length specified in this standard, the allowable deviation should be converted according to the length that can be measured according to the provisions of item 2.3.1.1 of JB2670. When the conversion result is less than 0.0025mm, it is still calculated as 0.0025mm.
When the position of machine tool components is not specified in the inspection items, the rear column is located at the end of the bed, the spindle box is located in the middle of its stroke, and the worktable is located at the zero degree position.
1.5 According to the agreement between the user and the manufacturer. The inspection items can be increased or decreased.
