hammer mill
Hammer crusher structure
The crusher consists of a frame, upper and lower bodies, rotor, hammer blades, and transmission system. The lower body is connected to the frame as a whole, firmly connected to the reinforced concrete foundation with anchor bolts, and rubber shock-absorbing pads should be placed at the connection. The lower body is equipped with a sieve, and the upper body is welded with toothed plates on the circumference, with a water spray pipe on the upper part.
The principle and use of the machine
After entering the crusher through the feeding port, the potato chunks are repeatedly hit and collided by the high-speed rotating hammer and fixed toothed plate. The material between the sieve and the hammer is subjected to strong friction. Under the repeated impact, collision, and friction, the cells of the potato chunks rupture and release starch particles from them. After passing through the sieve, they fall into the slurry pool,
1. Excessive crushing time can damage starch granules,
2. Pectin, fine residue, and damaged starch particles that are insoluble in water adhere to each other, making the separation process more difficult, affecting starch quality, and ultimately reducing yield.
