When opening the packaging, carefully inspect the pH sensitive film, liquid network, and NTC. If there is any damage, please return the electrode to its original packaging in a timely manner
2. Remove the liquid container, clean the pH sensitive membrane, liquid network, and electrode body with distilled water, and then gently dry them with a tissue. Do not rub the pH sensitive membrane to prevent static electricity from affecting the electrode response time
3. Move the electrode gently to a vertical position to prevent any bubbles in the sensitive membrane. The internal reference part of the glass electrode must be immersed in a bubble free buffer solution, which must be filled with the sensitive membrane bubbles
4. Connect the BNC and NTC connectors of the electrode cable to the corresponding positions of the pH meter
5. According to the detailed steps in the pH meter manual, calibrate the pH electrode with standard pH buffer solution. After calibration, clean the pH sensitive membrane, liquid network, and electrode body with distilled water and gently dry them with a tissue. The electrode can be used for measurement
After the measurement is completed, the electrode must be cleaned and a solution set containing one-third 3mol/L KCL solution must be returned to the head of the electrode Do not store the electrode in distilled water, otherwise it will shorten the service life of the electrode
7. Troubleshooting methods
A. Slow response/drift
Wash the liquid network with warm water If the electrode is left dry for a long time, it should be soaked in a 3mol/L KCL solution for at least 24 hours before use
B. Slope adjustment not in place
Clean the liquid network of the electrode with warm water and wipe the cable connector with anhydrous ethanol
C. When the electrode is contaminated with oil/organic liquid substances, the treatment method is to clean it with acetone or ethanol
