OLYMPUS SZ61 Stereoscopic Microscope
Comfortable working condition of SZ61 stereo microscope:
The key to obtaining reliable and accurate observation results
User comfort is always the primary goal pursued by Olympus. Nevertheless, the standard established by the latest SZ61 Olympus microscope stereomicroscope can still be considered a new starting point. Its smooth and rounded appearance, innovative "ComfortView" eyepiece, and easily accessible and responsive control knob make operation easier and more effortless than ever before.
The compact design style of the SZ61 Olympus microscope stereo microscope is derived from its integration with the Greeno optical system, which provides excellent flatness, rich depth of field, as well as equally high-quality clarity, image details, and accurate colors, minimizing the possibility of distortion. Today, in the increasingly expanding scope of biological microscopy observations, reliable quality and high-performance optical components are key to achieving consistent and accurate observation results - as well as shortening working time, simplifying working conditions, and reflecting ergonomic characteristics.
Welcome to the comfortable realm of SZ61 Olympus microscope stereomicroscope
Compact and comfortable design with high-performance optical components
By combining new technology with the renowned Glino optical system, the SZ61 microscope successfully meets the needs of performing multiple observation and recording tasks in a truly compact product design. The new ergonomic design elements achieve clear and sharp image restoration, while maximizing comfort and usability.
The body of the SZ61 microscope adopts newly developed lead-free optical components, which reflects Olympus' commitment to environmental protection.
6.7:1- Outstanding zoom ratio among similar products
The zoom ratio of SZ61 stereomicroscope ranks ahead of similar products, with magnification ranging from 6.7 × to 45 × (using a 10 × eyepiece) and a zoom ratio of 6.7:1. This feature originates from a newly developed optical system that allows operators to observe quickly and comfortably at the most suitable magnification.
Rich depth of field and flatness
The 10 degree convergence angle of the Glino optical system ensures image flatness at large depth of field.
Accurate color reproduction
The carefully selected lens surface coating and apochromatic zoom optical components enable it to observe and record the true and reliable original color of the sample.
Sharp and clear high contrast images
High level image contrast and field of view flatness ensure accurate reproduction and recording of the original sample shape.
ComfortView eyepiece, more comfortable to use and faster to work
This newly designed eyepiece features "pupil phase difference control" and "appropriate eye point positioning" functions, ensuring quick and comfortable observation and recording of the sample. Therefore, users can easily find their field of view and comfortably observe and maintain their posture.
5 zoom performance options
SZ61 stereomicroscope offers 5 system configuration options. The first method is to install a 45 ° inward tilt observation tube that conforms to ergonomic design characteristics after installing the standard base. Secondly, when it is necessary to tilt the zoom lens to use other devices or install a universal stand, the operator can attach a 60 ° tilt angle observation tube (SZ61-60). For the convenience of document recording, Olympus also offers a SZ61TR microscope - equipped with a three eye observation tube that can be easily linked to digital cameras and camcorders.
Convenient frontal operation
The SZ61 Olympus microscope stereomicroscope has been improved, allowing users to easily operate the most commonly used knobs and control devices from the front, ensuring maximum comfort for the operator and relieving fatigue in their neck and back muscles.
Suitable for dedicated accessories applicable to various functions
Microscope Digital Camera DP12 (SZ61TR)
The SZ61 stereo microscope has a compact design with a palm sized multifunctional control unit, integrated with a 3.5-inch 200000 pixel LCD display and a small base, making it easy to install and place any necessary auxiliary equipment. The 3.34 million pixel and 1/1.8 inch stepper scanning CCD system ensures high-precision digital images and stores these images at a resolution of up to 2048x1536. The digital camera is self-contained and does not need to be connected to a personal computer.
CAMEDIAMicroscopic imaging system
By using a simple adapter, the Olympus CAMEDIA digital camera can be attached to the eyepiece of the binocular observation tube, which is a simple, practical, and cost-effective way to obtain digital images.
Multiple universal brackets
Provide a variety of universal scaffolds for observing large samples. No matter how large the sample is or how significant the difference in volume is, Olympus microscopes can provide appropriate supports to meet any needs.
A complete range of auxiliary objective lenses and eyepieces
A complete range of auxiliary objectives can ensure the completion of various observation tasks at the optimal working distance (W.D.). The working distance can be adjusted between 250mm-350mm (0.3x objective lens) and 180mm-250mm (0.4x objective lens). The types of eyepieces are between 10x-30, which can achieve optimal system magnification.
Choose the most suitable lighting source for the current job
Base lighting system
LED lighting base/SZ2-ILST
The world's first LED lighting base, with a slim design, can keep the sample in a lower position and provide maximum convenience for operation. The base can achieve both transmitted and reflected light illumination simultaneously. LED lights can provide long-term stable color temperature illumination at any brightness level.
Bright field/dark field transmitted light illumination lamp/ZX-ILLD2
This base can provide bright, high contrast bright and dark field illumination. The illuminated field of view can reach up to 63mm in bright field of view and 33mm in dark field of view.
High level transmitted light illumination lamp/ZX-ILLB2
This lighting base can provide bright and effective illumination, with continuous adjustment of contrast. It has an adjustable slender slit that can increase the contrast of various samples. The brightness and color temperature can be adjusted through the built-in color filter slide.
Transmitting lighting accessories/SZ2-ILA
This cost-effective lighting base can provide bright and uniform lighting from low magnification to high magnification. Tiltable mirrors can provide direct and oblique illumination for low contrast samples. The 22W and 100W light boxes provide the necessary power to meet various lighting needs.
Optical lighting system
Flexible optical conduit/SZ2-LGSF
The single fiber optic conduit is fixed at the rear of the objective lens, thereby avoiding interference with microscope operation
Chain light pipe/SZ2-LGDI
Standard tilted semi flexible fiber optic conduit. The light source is fixed at the back of the base, saving desktop space.

Standard tilted semi flexible fiber optic conduit. The light source is fixed at the back of the base, saving desktop space.
Circular light pipe/SZ2-LGR
When used in conjunction with the LGB lighting system, this circular light guide tube can provide bright and consistent images.
Coaxial Reflected Light Illumination Lamp/SZ2-ILC
Combined with a polarizer and a 1/4 λ plate, it facilitates the observation of samples that are difficult to observe under oblique reflected light illumination.
