Instrument Overview:


The microcomputer salt content analyzer uses the principle of microcoulometry to extract halides from crude oil by heating and extracting them into water. The chloride ions in the sample are soaked in water, and this chloride containing water sample is directly added to the titration cell. Through electrolysis, silver ions react with chloride ions. After the reaction is complete, the electrolysis automatically stops to produce silver ions. The microcomputer can calculate the chloride ion or salt content in the sample based on the amount of electricity consumed by the generated silver ions.
