Advanced magnetic bead processing technology
Most automated workstations inject or aspirate reagents into a single reaction well during nucleic acid extraction. On the contrary,MagMAX ExpressCollect magnetic beads from the solution using a permanent magnetic rod (with a disposable magnetic rod sleeve), and then transfer the beads to another reaction well containing the next extraction reagent. The characteristics of efficient collection and transfer of magnetic beads not only ensure efficient binding, washing, and elution of nucleic acids, but also make the entire extraction process fast and simple. Unique automation methods
MagMAX Express-96The magnetic head sleeve and magnetic head of the automatic nucleic acid extraction system can move independently or in combination, achieving fast and efficient solution mixing and magnetic bead transfer. When the magnetic rod is outside the magnetic head cover, the magnetic force does not act on the magnetic beads. The up and down movement of the magnetic head cover allows for sufficient mixing of reagents and magnetic beads, achieving efficient binding, washing, and elution. When the magnetic rod penetrates deep into the magnetic head sleeve and is inserted into the solution together, the magnetic beads are quickly and efficiently adsorbed to the bottom of the magnetic head sleeve. Then, the magnetic head sleeve transfers the adsorbed magnetic beads to different reagent wells, and the magnetic rod can release the magnetic beads once it is away from the magnetic head sleeve. Due to this unique combination of movements, dirty environmental samples and high viscosity samples can be easily handled.
