1. A typical muffle furnace does not require special installation, it only needs to be placed flat on a reliable cement countertop or shelf indoors, and there should be no flammable or explosive substances around it. The controller should avoid vibration and should not be placed too close to the electric furnace to prevent internal components from malfunctioning due to overheating;

5. Set the temperature to the desired operating temperature and then turn on the power. Turn on the work, power on the electric furnace, and the control panel will display input current, voltage, output power, and real-time temperature. As the internal temperature of the electric furnace increases, the real-time temperature will also increase, indicating that the system is working properly.

Precautions for ash content testing

1. After initial calcination, the sample is taken out and cooled. A small amount of deionized water can be slowly added from the edge of the crucible (not directly added to the residual ash to prevent it from flying) to dissolve the water-soluble salts. The carbon particles covered are exposed, evaporated on a water bath, and placed in a drying oven at 120-130 ℃ to fully dry (remove moisture to prevent the residual ash from scattering due to heating during re ashing), and then burned to a constant weight;

(5) After the experiment is completed, the sample is removed from heating and the power is turned off. When placing the sample in the furnace, the furnace door should be slightly opened first, and the sample should be carefully clamped after it has cooled slightly to prevent burns.

(6) The heated crucible should be transferred to a dryer for cooling, placed on a buffered refractory material to prevent moisture absorption, explosion, and cracking, and then weighed.

(7) When transporting muffle furnaces, be careful to avoid severe resonance and place them away from flammable, explosive, water, and other materials. When the muffle furnace is used twice or after a long period of disuse, it must be dried. The baking time should be four hours at room temperature of 200 ℃. 200 ℃ to 600 ℃ for four hours. When in use, the furnace temperature should not exceed the rated temperature to avoid burning out the electric heating elements. It is prohibited to pour various liquids and easily soluble metals into the furnace. The muffle furnace operates at temperatures below 50 ℃, which results in a longer lifespan of the furnace wire.

The muffle furnace and controller must operate in a location where the relative temperature does not exceed 85%, there is no conductive dust, explosive gas, or corrosive gas. When metal materials containing oil or grease need to be heated, a large amount of volatile gases will affect and corrode the surface of the electric heating element, causing it to be destroyed and shorten its lifespan. Therefore, timely prevention and proper sealing of containers or appropriate openings should be taken during heating to eliminate the problem.

The muffle furnace controller should be limited to use within the ambient temperature range of 0-40 ℃.

According to technical requirements, regularly check whether the wiring of the electric furnace and controller is in good condition, whether there is any jamming or retention phenomenon when the pointer of the indicator moves, and use a potential difference meter to calibrate the instrument for errors caused by fatigue and balance failure of magnetic steel, demagnetization, wire expansion, and spring fragments.

Do not suddenly pull out the thermocouple at high temperatures to prevent the jacket from exploding.

Regularly keep the furnace clean and promptly remove oxides and other substances inside the furnace.
