Density refers to the mass of a substance per unit volume at a specified temperature. The density of petroleum products increases with the increase of carbon, oxygen, and sulfur content in their composition. Therefore, those with more aromatic hydrocarbons, gum, and asphaltene have a higher density, while those with more cycloalkanes are in the middle and those with more alkanes are the smallest. Therefore, based on the density (or specific gravity) of petroleum products, the type and composition of the oil can be determined to some extent. The SCMD2001 petroleum product density tester is suitable for the national standard GB/T1884-92 Petroleum and Liquid Petroleum Product Density Determination Method (Density Meter Method), mainly used to determine the density of transparent, low viscosity liquids and viscous liquids. It has high temperature control accuracy, stability and reliability, and is easy to operate.
