Measurement of capacitance of electrolytic capacitors:

According to JIS standards for testing electrolytic capacitors, the capacitance value of electrolytic capacitors varies greatly at different testing frequencies, so it is necessary to confirm the capacitance value based on the actual operating frequency of the circuit.

Measurement of capacitance of ceramic capacitors:

Ceramic capacitors can be divided into high dielectric constant type that varies with voltage and temperature compensation type. The JIS standard has different testing requirements for the characteristics of two types of ceramic capacitors. The frequency range of LCR tester IM3536 is DC, 4Hz~8MHz, and the built-in voltage range is 10mV~5V, which is very suitable for capacitor testing with the above two different requirements.

Inductance measurement of inductors (coils):

The phenomenon of LC resonance in the inductance and parasitic capacitance of an inductor (coil) is called self resonance. The frequency at which this self resonance occurs is called the self resonance frequency. Please measure L and Q at a frequency lower than the self resonant frequency when evaluating the coil.
