I. Overview

The Taiwan LETON Technology IR-LAS dual laser focusing series online infrared temperature sensor is an integrated infrared temperature sensor with advantages such as fast real-time response time, high sensitivity, non-contact, safe use, and long service life. The optical system and electronic circuit are integrated together in an aluminum alloy housing, and are equipped with mounting brackets for easy installation. Equipped with a two-level dual laser aiming function, it can quickly aim at smaller target objects, and comes with an external 9V battery switch box for convenient use by customers in various situations.


2、 Main application scope

Mainly used for temperature measurement of hazardous or rapidly moving objects that are difficult to access, such as petrochemicals, scientific experiments, printing, papermaking, drying, textiles, pharmaceuticals, refractory material packaging, distribution cabinets, roller laminating machines, motors, kilns, ceramics, graphite, composite materials, semiconductors, etc. This series of infrared temperature sensors has poor temperature measurement effect on bright or polished metal objects. Metal surfaces require coatings or high-temperature resistant tape to achieve accurate measurement results.


3、 Principle of Infrared Temperature Measurement

Infrared radiation is an electromagnetic wave with a wavelength between 0.76-100 μ m. Objects with temperatures above absolute zero (-273.16 ℃) constantly emit infrared radiation energy into the surrounding space. The size and wavelength distribution of an object's infrared radiation energy are closely related to its surface temperature. Therefore, by measuring the infrared energy radiated by the object itself, the surface temperature of the target object can be accurately measured, which is the basis for infrared radiation temperature measurement. Infrared temperature sensors generally use wavelengths at 0 Infrared radiation energy within the range of 8~18 μ m. Infrared temperature sensor is a type of thermoelectric sensor. It mainly consists of the following components:

——Electronic amplifier

——Signal processing

The infrared radiation energy emitted by the radiator enters the optical system and is modulated into alternating radiation by the modulator. The detector and electronic circuit convert the power energy of the infrared radiation into corresponding electrical signals.

8、 Quality Assurance

Our customer service personnel will provide you with comprehensive technical support on how to set up the infrared temperature sensor, calibration process, and maintenance. This product comes with a 12-month warranty from the date of sale. Damage caused by improper use or unauthorized disassembly is not covered by the warranty.


9、 Precautions for use

1. The size of the measured target and the optical characteristics of the infrared temperature sensor determine the maximum distance between the measured target and the detection head. To avoid measurement errors, the measured target should be as large as possible than the field of view of the detection head. Therefore, the detection point should always be kept smaller than the measured object or at least the same size as the measured target.

2. The lens of the sensor must be kept clean to avoid measurement errors or even damage to the lens caused by pollutants such as dust and water vapor. If necessary, install a gas source blowing device or a dust-proof and waterproof protective cover. If there is dust on the lens, you can use lens cleaning paper dipped in anhydrous alcohol to wipe the sensor. The ambient temperature should not be too high. When the temperature is too high, an air-cooled or water-cooled cooling device must be installed to avoid damaging the sensor and reducing the service life of the probe.
