IPX5-6 Strong Flushing Test ChamberThe waterproof level reflects the ability of the instrument to resist moisture and dust, especially for outdoor activities where it is inevitably exposed to harsh environments with high humidity or dust. The sealing and waterproof ability of the instrument is crucial to ensure its safe operation and lifespan. For this reason, the IEC529 standard has been developed internationally. In order to adapt to this, the Japanese Industrial Standards classify the waterproof protection of electronic instruments into 10 levels, represented by IPX1, IPX2, IPX3, IPX4, IPX5, IPX6, IPX7, IPX8, and IPX9, respectively.

Waterproof grade description:

IPX1. Anti drip Type I vertical falling water droplets have no harmful effects
IPX2. Type II anti drip: Water droplets falling within a 15 degree angle range from the vertical have no harmful effects
IPXRainproof type with no harmful effects on rainfall within a 60 degree angle range from the vertical direction
IPX4 splash proof type is unaffected by water splashes from any direction and has no harmful effects
IPX5 anti spray type, directly exposed to water spray in any direction without harmful effects
IPX6 Water resistant type can withstand direct water spray in any direction without entering the interior
IPX7 anti immersion type will not enter the interior even if immersed in water under specified conditions
IPX8 types of water can still be used when immersed in water of a certain pressure for a long time
IPXThe moisture resistant type can still be used in humidity below 90% relative humidity
