How to treat odor and exhaust gas from food and beverage factories? Chemical odor and exhaust gas treatment
Product details
Food and beverage waste gases, whether organic or inorganic, have one thing in common: they emit a strong chemical odor and taste.
According to the fact that the main component of food and beverage waste gas is organic waste gas, there are currently many methods for treating organic waste gas, includingWaste gas treatment equipmentThe main methods include activated carbon adsorption, low-temperature plasma, combustion, UV photolysis, etc. You can consult
We used activated carbon adsorption and combustion methods in a certain food and beverage factory.
Activated carbon adsorption method
Activated carbon adsorption method is a common waste gas treatment method. The adsorption method utilizes porous activated carbon, silica gel, anthracite, etc. to adsorb organic gas molecules onto their surfaces, thereby purifying exhaust gas.
Advantages: High purification rate (activated carbon adsorption can reach over 95%), practical applicability, simple operation, and low investment.
Disadvantages: After adsorption saturation, new activated carbon needs to be replaced, which incurs costs. The replaced saturated activated carbon also requires professional personnel to handle hazardous waste, resulting in high operating costs.

Combustion method
The combustion method is divided into direct combustion method and catalytic combustion method, mainly used for the purification treatment of high concentration VOCs exhaust gas. For low to medium concentration exhaust gases that cannot be burned by themselves, combustion aids or heating are usually required, which consumes a lot of energy and has operating costs more than 10 times higher than catalytic combustion methods. The operating technology requirements are high and difficult to control and master.
The advantage of catalytic combustion method is that it is flameless combustion with good safety. The characteristics of this method are low ignition temperature and energy saving; High purification rate, no secondary pollution; Simple process, easy operation, and good safety; The device has a small volume and occupies a small area; The maintenance and depreciation costs of the equipment are relatively low. This method is suitable for the treatment of high temperature, medium high concentration organic waste gas and has good effects.
