High pressure oil flow meterHigh pressure oil is measured using a flow meter, commonly known as an external clamp (external application) flow meter. Suitable for DN15-1000 pipe diameter, not limited by pressure, ensuring that the medium flows through the pipeline at full capacity.

Installation method

There are four installation methods for external sensors. They are V method, Z method, N method, and W method respectively.

For pipelines below DN200, the V method is preferred. When there is no signal or signal quality is poor, the Z method is preferred. For pipelines above DN200 or cast iron pipes, the Z method should be preferred. The N method and W method are less commonly used and are usually suitable for the installation of fine pipelines below DN50mm.

V method

In general, the V method is a relatively standard installation method, which is easy to use and accurate in measurement. During installation, the two sensors are aligned horizontally, with their center line level with the pipeline axis. The measurable pipe diameter range is about DN15mm-DN400mm.

Z method

The Z method is a commonly used installation method, characterized by direct transmission of ultrasonic waves in pipelines, no reflection (known as single acoustic path), and minimal signal attenuation loss.

The Z-method can measure pipe diameters ranging from 100mm to 6000mm. When installing on site, simple pipelines with a diameter of over 200mm should use the Z-method (which measures the maximum signal).
