A gas station is a very complex environment that includes many different devices, such as fuel dispensers, tank level gauges, price display boards, and so on. In order to facilitate integration between devices from different manufacturers, the International Gas Station Standards Forum has developed a unified IFSF protocol to regulate gas station equipment manufacturers. The IFSF protocol defines the protocol and specifications for communication between petroleum retail equipment, providing a fully collaborative open system between gas station devices. As long as devices from different manufacturers comply with the IFSF protocol, similar devices can replace each other, and different devices in the system can be interoperable.
Based on the technical advantages of interoperability, reliability, and safety of LonWorks bus, and natural compatibility with IFSF protocol standards, the use of LonWorks bus to construct gas station control systems is a widely followed standard internationally. The HiSilicon LON5000IM-IFSF LonWorks communication module can load the IFSF protocol of the fuel dispenser onto the LON bus and connect the user's fuel dispenser equipment to the on-site LON bus network. The HiSilicon LON5000IM-IFSF LonWorks communication module can be connected to the fuel dispenser motherboard through various interface forms such as UART, SPI, I2C, etc. The IFSF protocol of the fuel dispenser is implanted into the LON bus to achieve communication with the vestibular controller, helping customers solve the technical problems of LonWorks communication access for fuel dispenser exports.
