The four probe resistivity/square resistance tester (hereinafter referred to as resistivity tester) is a measuring instrument used to measure the resistivity of semiconductor materials (mainly silicon single crystals, germanium single crystals, silicon wafers), as well as the resistance of diffusion layers, epitaxial layers, ITO conductive foil films, and conductive rubber blocks. It mainly consists of an electrical measurement part (referred to as the host), a testing rack, and four probe heads. The characteristic of this instrument is that the host is equipped with dual digital meters. While measuring resistivity, another digital meter (with an accuracy of a few tens of thousands) monitors the current changes throughout the entire process in a timely manner, eliminating the need for conversion between measuring current and measuring resistivity, and allowing for more timely control of the measured current. The host also provides a constant current source with an accuracy of 0.05%, making the measured current highly stable. This machine is equipped with a constant current source switch, which can eliminate the occurrence of contact sparks between the probe tip and the measured material when measuring certain foil materials, and better protect the foil film. The instrument is equipped with our company's product: "Small Drift Four Probe Head", with a probe drift rate of 0.1-0.2%. This ensures the repeatability and accuracy of the instrument's resistivity measurement. If equipped with the HQ-710E data processor, the machine can automatically correct the thickness, diameter, and probe spacing when measuring silicon wafers, and calculate and print the maximum percentage change, average percentage change, and uneven radial resistivity of silicon wafers. It brings great convenience to measurement.
