Principle of UV sterilizer sterilization
Ultraviolet radiation can be divided into UV-A (320-400nm), UV-B (275-320nm), UV-C (200-275nm), and vacuum ultraviolet parts based on their biological effects. In water treatment, the UV-C part of ultraviolet radiation is actually used, and it has been proven that the ultraviolet radiation around 260nm is the most effective for sterilization.
The ultraviolet sterilizer integrates comprehensive sciences such as optics, microbiology, mechanics, chemistry, electronics, and fluid mechanics. The high-level secondary water supply uses a specially designed high-efficiency, high-intensity, and long-life ultraviolet UV-C light generating device to emit strong ultraviolet UV-C light to the flowing water. When bacteria, viruses, etc. in water are exposed to a certain dose of UV-C light (wavelength 253.7nm). The DNA and structure of its cells are destroyed, and cell regeneration cannot proceed, thus achieving water disinfection and purification. The spectral line with a wavelength of 185nm can also decompose organic molecules in water, generate hydrogen radicals, and oxidize organic molecules in water to carbon dioxide, achieving the goal of removing TOC
Installation precautions for UV sterilizers:
1. UV sterilizers should be installed horizontally
2. The lamp tube and sleeve inside the ultraviolet sterilizer are fragile items, so handle them gently during installation to avoid external impact
3. The ultraviolet sterilizer should be installed in a suitable place, avoiding installation in damp and easily water prone areas to prolong the service life of the equipment.
4. When installing the ultraviolet sterilizer, a space should be left at each end of the equipment to allow for the replacement of components such as lamps in the future.
5. Regardless of whether one or multiple ultraviolet disinfectors for drinking water are used in parallel, bypass pipelines and shut-off valves should be installed for easy maintenance.
6. During installation, select power sockets, wires, or terminal blocks to connect according to the voltage and power indicated on the label of the UV sterilizer equipment.
