A plug valve is a valve that uses a plug with a through-hole as the opening and closing component, and is closed by the rotation of the plug. It has good sealing performance, long service life, and the advantage of sealing both the inlet and outlet ends simultaneously. There are two basic types of lining plug valves: X44 series three-way plug valves and X43 series three-way plug valves. The structure of the plug valve is simple, the switch is fast, the fluid resistance is small, and the angular stroke operation is fast. In emergency situations such as accidents, it can quickly connect or disconnect pipelines. Compared with gate valves and globe valves, the operation is more flexible and the switching is faster. A plug valve uses a plug body with a through-hole as the opening and closing member, and the plug body rotates with the valve stem to achieve the opening and closing action. A small unfilled plug valve is also known as a "cock". 1. The inlet and outlet windows of the plug valve body are designed with a dual channel groove sealing ring structure. During the rotation of the plug, the sealing pressure between its sealing pairs gradually changes until it reaches the fully open or fully closed position, generating sufficient sealing pressure and achieving zero leakage of the sealing pairs. 2. The dual groove sealing ring of the plug valve can stabilize the PTFE liner inside the valve body without displacement, and can absorb the slight deformation of the liner caused by temperature differences. At the same time, there is a strong wiping effect between the liner and the plug, which also improves the service life of the sealing surface.
3. The upper part of the plug shaft of the plug valve adopts a PTFE diaphragm and O-ring combined with an adjusting gasket, which can adjust the sealing pressure between the sealing surfaces, make the plug rotate flexibly, and ensure the sealing of the inlet and outlet ends and the middle flange connection end.
4. The entire sealing process can be approximated as independent of the pressure inside the pipeline.
5. The PTFE lining of the plug valve is filled with different materials according to the operating temperature and working medium, ensuring good lubrication and long service life.
