The basic principle of septic tanks is to use the sedimentation effect caused by the specific gravity of parasitic eggs being greater than that of the mixture of feces and urine, as well as the principles of closed anaerobic fermentation, liquefaction, ammonification, and biological antagonism of feces to remove and kill parasitic eggs and bacteria, control the breeding of mosquitoes and flies, and achieve the goal of harmless treatment of feces. The three compartment septic tank consists of three connected tanks, connected by a manure pipe in the middle. It mainly utilizes the principle of anaerobic fermentation, middle layer manure passing, and parasite egg density being higher than that of the general mixture, making it easy to settle. After more than 30 days of fermentation and decomposition in the tank, the middle layer manure flows from tank 1 to tank 3 in sequence to achieve the purpose of settling or killing parasite eggs and bacteria in the manure. The third tank manure becomes an excellent fertilizer.

Working principle of septic tank

Fiberglass biological septic tank is a primary treatment that uses sedimentation and anaerobic fermentation principles to remove suspended organic matter from domestic sewage. Domestic sewage contains a large amount of impurities such as feces, paper scraps, and pathogens. The solid concentration of suspended matter is 100-350mg/L, and the concentration of organic matter is BOD5 between 100-400mg/L. Among them, the BOD5 of suspended organic matter is between 50-200mg/L. The sewage enters the septic tank for 12-24 hours of sedimentation to remove 50-60% of suspended matter. The settled sludge undergoes anaerobic digestion for more than 3 months, which decomposes the organic matter in the sludge into stable inorganic substances, converts perishable raw sludge into stable mature sludge, changes the structure of the sludge, reduces the moisture content of the sludge, and is regularly cleared for transportation, landfilling, or used as fertilizer.
