(1)To prevent a fire in the ventilation room from spreading to adjacent rooms through air ducts, fire dampers should be installed at the locations where the supply, return, and exhaust ducts pass through the room walls or floors,

(2)To prevent rooms with high fire hazards from spreading through air ducts to adjacent rooms, fire dampers should be installed on the supply, return, and exhaust ducts passing through their partition walls and floor slabs.

(3)To prevent the mutual spread of fires between fire compartments, fire dampers should be installed on the supply and return air ducts that pass through the partition walls of the fire compartments.

(4)The floor slabs of multi story and high-rise buildings can generally be regarded as fire partitions. To prevent the spread and expansion of fire in the upper and lower floors, fire dampers should be installed at the junction of the supply and return air horizontal pipes and the vertical main pipe on each floor(image5).

(5)A fire damper should be installed on both sides of the air duct passing through the settlement and deformation joints of the wall(See figure6)And tightly block the gap between the air duct and the wall with non combustible flexible materials. In order to enable the fireproof door to close on its own, the direction of the fireproof door should be consistent with the direction of the airflow inside the air duct.

(6)Directly connecting the outdoor fresh air duct generally does not require a fire damper. Only when it is close to an adjacent building and the distance from the adjacent building is less than3 mTime; Or adjacent buildings2layer and2Above the level and with a distance less than5 mAt this time, fire dampers should be installed to prevent fires from spreading to adjacent buildings through fresh air ducts.
