FIA-PMT-FL is a highly sensitive ppt level flow analysis system based on photomultiplier tubes, suitable for measuring ultra-low fluorescence, chemiluminescence, and bioluminescence in living organisms. The design of the heavy load and chemically resistant protective cover of the system is sufficient to adapt to industrial environments.
FIA-PMT-FL has online analysis capabilities, but can also be manually measured using a standard 1-cm optical path colorimetric dish.
system structure
FIA-PMT can use internal excitation lamps or external lamps connected to optical fibers. External light sources include tungsten lamps, mercury lamps, LEDs, and laser diodes. The excitation light filter is installed in the slot for easy movement and replacement. The system uses an internal 25 μ m flow cell.
Excitation power selection
Selection of internal excitation power supply | Laser diodes (532 nm, 635 nm, 650 nm) |
Quartz tungsten filament lamp (440-750 nm)
UV light-emitting diode lamp (365-410 nm)
Different visible light diode lights
Selection of fiber optic excitation power supply | Deuterium lamp (200-400 nm) |
Laser diodes (532 nm, 635 nm, 650 nm)

System Operation
The system includes a Windows based software that can set integration time and voltage, as well as display historical measurement data in the form of graphics and tables. The software can automatically generate calibration curves and also control auxiliary equipment such as FIAlab's FIA/SIA system, injection and vibration pumps, injection vacuum tubes, selection vacuum tubes, and automatic samplers. Users can also control PMT-FL using their own software, including Visual Basic, VC++, and LabVIEW with ActiveX controls, as well as all programming environments compatible with ActiveX.
Typical applications
Ammonium fluorescence test: Laboratory analysis of ultra-thin brightness with sensitivity at ppb level.
F4551: Measurement of hydrolyzed fluorescein in b-D-glucosidase for detecting the dynamics of β - glucosidase and the release of lytic enzymes in neutrophils.
M8639:2'-(4-Methylumbelliferyl)-a-D-N-acetylneuraminic acid sodium salt hydrate, Assay analysis of a type of neuraminidase.
L9009: North American firefly luciferase, which reacts with luciferin, adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and oxygen to produce bioluminescence. Therefore, luciferase can be used to measure the content of ATP.
GUS-A: b-glucosidase fluorescence activity detection, using MU GlcA (4-methylumbelliferyl b-Dglucuronide) as the substrate, which is widely used for glucosidase activity detection.
