The ESAM security module is a secure access module that encapsulates a security chip with an operating system (COS) in a DIP8 or SOP8 module. Embedding it into smart (card) meters for water, electricity, gas, and heating, set-top boxes, smart appliances, or other specialized devices can complete various functions such as data encryption and decryption, two-way identity authentication, access control, communication line protection, temporary key export, and data file storage.
