Polyester needle punched felt is the main filter material in bag dust collectors. It uses non-woven needle punching technology to comb and lay polyester short fibers on a fine fiber cloth with staggered fibers and evenly distributed gaps, and then needle punched into felt. This filter material has high strength, good elastic recovery performance, stable fabric size, good wear resistance, high porosity, good air permeability, long service life, good dust removal effect, and good mechanical properties and acid and alkali resistance at room temperature (below 130 ℃). Due to the low price of polyester, polyester needle punched felt is the most cost-effective filtering medium at low temperatures.
According to the characteristics of dust from different manufacturers, polyester needle punched felt is often treated by mixing anti-static fibers, singeing, calendering, water and oil repellent impregnation, etc. The polyester needle punched felt manufactured has added easy dust removal (fast dust peeling), water and oil repellent (anti condensation), and anti-static properties to its original performance, forming a series of products.

Compared with general woven filter media, needle punched filter felt has the following advantages:
1. High porosity and good air permeability can improve equipment load capacity and reduce pressure loss and energy consumption. Needle punched filter felt is a fine short fiber filter cloth that is arranged in a staggered manner with evenly distributed pores. Its porosity can reach over 70%, which is twice that of woven filter cloth. Using needle punched cloth to make filter bags can reduce the size of bag filters and significantly reduce energy consumption.
2. High dust removal efficiency and low gas emission concentration. Actual tests have shown that the efficiency of filtering 325 mesh talc powder (with a median diameter of about 7.5 μ m) can reach 99.9-99.99%, which is one order of magnitude higher than that of velvet cloth. The concentration of gas emissions can be significantly lower than the national standard.
3. The surface has been treated by hot stamping, singeing, or coating, resulting in a smooth and flat surface that is not easily clogged or deformed, easy to remove dust, and has a long service life. The service life of needle punched felt is generally 1-5 times that of woven filter cloth.
4. Strong chemical stability. Not only can it filter gases at room temperature or high temperature, but it can also filter corrosive gases containing acid and alkali.
