1、 Dry drum magnetic separator magnetic material
1. Materials with different magnetic properties are added from the upper feeding port of the magnetic separator, and when they flow onto the magnetic roller, they fall in a loose state. Iron containing magnetic materials are quickly deposited onto the roller by the combined force of gravity and magnetic force, and are adsorbed onto the surface of the cylinder.
2. Non magnetic materials without iron fall outside the magnetic material under the action of gravity. These materials rotate with the drum, and non-magnetic materials detach from the cylinder and fall under the action of gravity, and are discharged in the flow channel.
3. The magnetic material containing iron is adsorbed on the surface of the cylinder and continues to rotate until there is no magnetic force, then it falls by its own weight and is discharged on the other side of the flow channel. Finally, the mixed material is divided into two products: iron containing material and iron free material.
2、 Wide application of dry drum magnetic separator
1. Dry magnetic separators are widely used for iron removal in industries such as mineral processing, abrasives, refractory materials, ceramics, chemical engineering, and grain processing.
2. The feeding of the dry magnetic separator should be uniform, and powdered materials should be matched with an electromagnetic vibration feeder. Materials of 0.5-3mm can be directly fed, but should not be piled up in the hopper. The moisture content of the material should be controlled within 5%. Materials that are too humid and prone to bonding may have poor or no sorting effect.
3. The magnetic poles of a dry magnetic separator are fixed and do not rotate, while the cylinder rotates. The direction of rotation of the cylinder is indicated by the arrow on the machine body and cannot be reversed.
3、 Design of feed inlet for dry drum magnetic separator
1. The opening size of the feed gate directly affects the processing capacity and sorting effect. If the gate opening is too small, the processing capacity will be too low. If the gate opening is too large, some magnetic materials containing iron will not be able to be sucked onto the drum in time and mixed with non-magnetic materials, causing the sorting effect to deteriorate. So the opening size of the gate should be gradually adjusted through testing during the trial operation stage. After adjustment, fix it with the top screw.
2. The drum part of the dry magnetic separator is supported by rolling bearings, which are lubricated with calcium based oil and added every three months. The reducer is lubricated with mechanical oil, and the oil level should be controlled within the range of the oil level line. The oil should be replaced once a year.
