Double sided tape is a roll shaped adhesive tape made by uniformly coating elastic pressure-sensitive adhesive or resin pressure-sensitive adhesive on paper, cloth, and plastic film as substrates. It consists of three parts: substrate, adhesive, and isolation paper (film).

Classification of double-sided tape adhesives

It is divided into solvent adhesive tape (oily double-sided adhesive tape), lotion adhesive tape (water-based double-sided adhesive tape), hot-melt adhesive tape, calendering adhesive tape and reactive adhesive tape. It is generally widely used for leather, nameplates, stationery, electronics, automotive edge decoration fixation, footwear, paper making, handicraft pasting and positioning, and other purposes. Hot melt double-sided tape is mainly used in stickers, stationery, office applications, and other fields. Oil based double-sided tape is mainly used in high adhesion areas such as leather goods, pearl cotton, sponge, and shoe products. Embroidery double-sided tape is mainly used in computer embroidery.
