Basket filter, also known as drum filter or barrel filter, also written as blue filter. This filter is mainly used on oil, water or other liquid pipelines to filter impurities in the pipeline. The filtering hole area is more than 2-3 times the diameter pipe area, far exceeding the filtering area of Y-shaped and T-shaped filters. The structure of the filter screen is different from other filters, and it is called a basket filter because its shape resembles a basket.
The basket filter is mainly composed of a connecting pipe, a cylinder, a filter basket, flanges, flange covers, and fasteners. Installed on pipelines, it can remove large solid impurities from fluids, enabling machinery and equipment (including compressors, pumps, etc.) and instruments to work and operate normally, achieving stable process and ensuring safe production.

Selection principle
1. Import and export diameter
In principle, the inlet and outlet diameter of the filter should not be smaller than the inlet diameter of the matching pump, and generally consistent with the diameter of the inlet pipeline.
2. Nominal pressure
Determine the pressure level of the filter based on the possible high pressure in the filtering pipeline.
3. Selection of pore size
The main consideration is the particle size of impurities that need to be intercepted, depending on the process requirements of the medium flow.
