Differential pressure V-cone flowmeter is a new type of high-precision differential pressure flowmeter. The V-cone flowmeter is named after a special streamlined cone suspended at the centerline of a closed pipeline for central throttling, and the flow rate is calculated based on the differential pressure measured at the upstream pipe wall and the tail of the cone. Due to the unique structural design of the V-cone flowmeter, its performance is superior to other differential pressure flowmeters.

The V-cone flowmeter, like other differential pressure flowmeters, is based on Bernoulli's law of energy conversion in a closed pipeline for measurement, which states that under stable flow conditions, the flow velocity of the medium is proportional to the square root of the differential pressure. When the medium flows towards the tip of the cone at a certain speed, due to the throttling effect of the cone, a low-pressure zone P2 is immediately formed downstream of the cone. There is a pressure difference △ P between the high pressure P1 upstream of the cone and the low pressure P2 downstream. The pressure difference △ P is sent to the differential pressure transmitter through the pressure tap, and the change in flow rate can be measured based on the change in differential pressure.

1. High precision and good repeatability: The V-cone flowmeter has an accuracy of ± 0.5% of the measured value and a repeatability of ± 0.2%.

2. Wide range ratio and low pressure loss: The normal range ratio of the V-cone flowmeter is 10:1. The accurate parameters can achieve 30:1, and the pressure loss of the V-cone flowmeter is only 1/5 to 1/10 of the orifice plate, which can greatly reduce operating energy consumption.

3. Low requirements for installing straight pipe sections: Due to the unique center streamline throttling structure of the V-cone flowmeter, the problem of straight pipe section rectification is well solved, directly rectifying irregular fluids into ideal fluids. The front straight pipe section is 0-3D, and the rear straight pipe section is 0-1D.

4. Good long-term stability: The unique design of the cone ensures that the fluid flows through the cone in a gradual process without sudden changes. The flow rate first passes through the cone and then reaches the edge of the cone. Therefore, the cone is not frequently worn by the fluid, and the β value can remain unchanged for a long time. Therefore, the instrument can be used for a long time without recalibration.
