Cable impedance
The cable input impedance is used to determine whether the cable is the correct coaxial cable type, such as the 75 ohm cable and 50 ohm cable or 93 ohm cable used in the previous generation Ethernet system. In addition, the tester performs time-domain reflection (TDR) testing on the link to ensure that the cable does not undergo significant changes in impedance characteristics. Abnormal impedance will lead to serious signal transmission quality issues.

transmission delay
The transmission delay measures the time required for a signal to travel from one end of a cable link to the other. The NVP value of a cable refers to the electrical signal speed on the cable, which is used to convert transmission delay into the "electrical length" of the link. If the accuracy of NVP values is sufficient, the electrical length will be close to the physical length.

insertion loss
