Cable impedance
The cable input impedance is used to determine whether the cable is the correct coaxial cable type, such as the 75 ohm cable and 50 ohm cable or 93 ohm cable used in the previous generation Ethernet system. In addition, the tester performs time-domain reflection (TDR) testing on the link to ensure that the cable does not undergo significant changes in impedance characteristics. The NVP value of a cable refers to the electrical signal speed on the cable, which is used to convert transmission delay into the "electrical length" of the link.
